MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATION

Mental Health Foundation India is a registered, not for profit organization dedicated to work for the betterment of Mental Health of people and for the promotion of mental health. The MHF promotes mental health by various means e.g. (organizing camps, workshop, seminar and conclave) and training program. As a part of the training program, MHF conducts unique internship training program for graduate and post graduate students of Psychology. The MHF also provide clinical services, comprehensive treatment to the people suffering from mental health issues. The Rehabilitation of the person with mental illness is major issues globally. To reintegrate the patients with disability into the social and occupational mainstream we extend support at every possible level to the affected person in all possible way, particularly by helping patient in getting jobs suitable to their skills and educational level. In addition we have created a supported employment model to rediscover and reintegrate lost skill of the person or to make the person skilled in new area as per the cognitive and other resources of the affected person. , We also strongly believe in advocacy for mental health. We intend to protect the rights of the people with mental illness and their caregivers. The MHF submitted PIL in Delhi High Court seeking de-criminalisation of section 309 and got the positive outcomes. We conduct school mental health program to make teachers and school administration aware about the behavioral problems of the children and to educate them how to better and effectively handle the problems. MHF also provide comprehensive technical support to other institutions for conducting workshops and seminar related to mental health and hygiene.
