Vision: For all women to feel confident and empowered to make their own choices and to be celebrated as equal and valuable members of their families & communities. , Mission: To empower women with the knowledge, skills, courage, access and capital to become successful entrepreneurs with more control over their lives. , OBjective: To reach one million women entrepreneurs by next 5 years. , Mann Deshi Foundation transforms rural women from daily wage earners into role model entrepreneurs through economic empowerment. Mann Deshi Ventures (MDV) offers a range of customized business & skill training combined with financial services in order to help develop women s technical and business skill set, knowledge of property rights, and leadership abilities enabling them to start their own ventures and empowering themselves and their families. These programs include a mobile MBA school that offers management and entrepreneurship training, and a chamber of commerce that offers new social networks as well as market and policy linkages for the women entrepreneurs. Additionally, during an extended drought period, the organization built bandhara i.e.checkdams to hold water and save farm animals. The radio station founded by Mann Deshi also provides news and critical business and agriculture tips to the surrounding area. , Other Mann Deshi s Flagships: , Community Radio initiative builds local capacity and empowers women to improve their lives and those of their families through creative programming , Financial Literacy is a core course offered through Mann Deshi Udyogini (B-school for rural women), which imparts training on loan repayment and the importance of savings , Freedom Ride: To keep girls in school, Mann Deshi provides bicycles to rural girls through interest-free loans, making it possible for them to attend school , Umbrella Program distributes umbrellas through interest-free loans to street vendors to protect against sun exposure , Women s Property Rights projects have been administered by Mann Deshi Foundation through a combination of government lobbying and activism , Mann Deshi Champions provides sport training to poor children, providing the opportunity to broaden their skills both physically and socially. , Impact to Date: , Established in 1996, 8 business schools, 7 bank branches and 6 mobile business schools , Reached over 350,000 clients , Till date, over 190,000 rural women graduates
