LOKSEBAK has been running a Special School of Mentally Retarded & Cerebral Palsy at the District Headquarter Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi District since April 2006. Presently this institution consists of 52 nos. of children with Mentally Challenged. Trough different teaching and learning materials the special education and training are given to the differentially able children. The voluntary organization LOKSEBAK has involved in the different agricultural activities like Hybrid maize cultivation under RKVY, Maize is one of the most important cereal crops with diverse utility. it has been consider as one of the important cash crops in odisha, maize primarily grown in Kharif. Popularisation of Hybrid maize programme has been taken up in Kharif 2013 in Kesinga Block of Kalahandi district covering 1675 Ha. In PPP mode under RKVY with support of ATMA, Kalahandi. The Programme has been successfully implemented. The Organization is also involve improveing sugarcane cultivation under Sustainable sugarcane initiative with Dept. of Agriculture, Kalahandi in Bhawanipatna, Kesinga, Th. Rampur, Narla, M.rampur, Lajigarh & Golamunda Blocks and covered 100 Ac. successfully. The Systems of Rice Intensification (SRI) is a methodology aimed at increasing the yield of Rice produced in farming. It is a low water, Labour intensive, organic method that use younger seedlings singly spaced and typically hand weeded with special tools. During the year Rabi 2013-14 LOKSEBAK cultivated 50 Ha. of paddy cultivation by SRI method including 66 nos. of farmers in Kesinga Block with support of Agriculture Dept. of Kalahandi.
