Late Vasantrao Chandorkar Smruti Pratishthan is Jalgaon based NGO & cultural organization registered with Charity Commissioner under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 bearing Regd. No. E - 878 Dt. 30.10.2001 Pratishthan has got 80 G Certificate from Income Tax Department having Regd No. NSK/CIT-II/80-G (5)/18/14/08-09 Date 09/01/09 valid up to 31/03/09. & IT Sec. 12 A Certificate NSK/CIT-II/Tech/5/35/2002-2003 Date.20.3.2002. We have received FCRA Certification from Ministry of Home Affairs. FCRA Regd, No.083840031 Dated 02.04.2009. The organization is working for Indian Classical Music, Dance & Instrumental. Through out the year we are organizing various classical concerts for up coming and professional artists. , , For the last 7 years we are organizing 3 days Music Festival. The name of the festival is Balgandharv Sangeet Mahotsav. All top grade artists like Ustad Shahid Parvez, Sanjeev Abhayankar, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Deepak Maharaj, Dr. Veena Sahastrabuddhe, Pt. Dhrub Ghosh, Devki Pandit, Pt. Bhawani Shankarji, Pandita Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Pt. Dayashankar & party, Pt. Arjun Mishra, Pt. Purbayan Chatterji, Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra, Pandita Arti Ankalikar, Ustad Rashid Khan, Pt. Birju Maharaj Pt. Rahul Sharma,Pt. Jasraj, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Abhijeet Pohankar, Rahul Deshpande, etc. were participated in this Mahotsav. We are organizing monthly classical concerts for the up coming artists especially youth. , , In the year 2004 we have got very good opportunity to collaborate with Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, Pune for organizing smaller version of Sawai Gandharv Mahotsav at Jalgaon. Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Dr. Firoj Dastur, Shrimati Gangubai Hangal had taken positive cognizance about our activities of the pratishthan and approached us for the said festival. Chandorkar Pratishthan organized this event on 10th & 11th July 2004. , , We have collaborated with NCPA Mumbai & South Central Cultural Zone, (Ministry of Culture) New Delhi for organizing 2 - 3 classical programs for up coming young artist in Jalgaon. We are organizing Malhar Mahotsav in the month of August every year with NCPA, Sadhana Mahotsav & Yuwa Sangeet Nritya Mohotsav with SCCZ every year. , , Three years back we have started State Level open Classical Vocal & Natyageet Gayan competition for up coming artists & got very good response. Through out Maharashtra around 100 participants participated in this competition. The prizes of the said competition are Rs. 5000/- , Rs.3000/- & Rs.2000/- respectively. This competition we are organizing in collaboration with Shrimati Dhapubai Jain Charitable Trust, Jalgaon. Last year we have collaborated with Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre for Inter College Light Music Competition for elimination round for Jalgaon, Dhulia and Nandurbar Districts. , , We have already started three days work shops on Kathak Dance & Classical Vocal Bandish by eminent Gurus Pandita Shama Bhate (Pune) & Pandit Arun Kashalkar (Mumbai) We have collaborated with Stree Sakhi an organization working by the women, for the women, of the women for various Women Empowerment & Rural Development projects.
