Actively involved in formation, support and cultivation of saving habits to more than 500 Self Help groups, more than 100 children parliaments, 15 farmers clubs and differently abled persons groups in 15 unions of Ariyalur, Thanjavur and Thiruvarur districts of Tamilnadu. , Conducting more than 750 awareness programs every year in the form of cultural programs, exhibitions, rallies, seminars on Gender, Women development , awareness on girl child, AIDS awareness, organic farming, (vermi compost, pipe compost, natural pesticides, panchakaviyam, etc,) herbal plantation, tree plantation, global warming, plastic awareness, protection of natural resources, gramasabha participation, waste management, health awareness, kitchen gardens, fundamental rights, RTI, RTF, RTE, prevention and rehabilitation of differently abled persons. , Formation and functioning of CBO s in areas of operation. , Trainings conducted on computers, tailoring, coir making, Entrepreneur Development Program training, etc. , Nearly 30 free evening study centres for the poor children in Thanjavur and Ariyalur districts. , Provide career guidance and conducted summer camps where spoken english and computer skills are taught to the youngsters. , Provide livelihood opportunities like dairy farming, coconut leaf knitting, coir making, petty shops, tailoring, hollow block making, flower, dry fish, vegetables, sarees and garments sales. , Support the community in the operational area to avail Government schemes like Old Age Pension (OAP), Widow pension, disabled pension, marriage assistance, pregnancy support, house patta, building of personal toilets, housing schemes. , Celebration of Samathuva Pongal, World Women s Day, Domestic Violence Day, Children s Day, World Disabled Day every year. , Conduct medical camps (general and eye) for the village community. , Provide loan facilities of more than Rs. 10 Lakhs every year through banks and other financial institutions for education, skill development, house repair and income generation programs. , Provide educational assistance to the underpreviliged youngsters. , Provide assistance in the form of relief and rehabilitation in case of disasters like floods and fire. , More than 1000 persons are capacitated every year through non-formal trainings and education and have successfully gained better employment. , Provided alcohol awareness to more than 5000 participants through skits, plays, documentaries, pictures, photos, posters and charts. Conduct meetings, counselling and rehabilitation support to more than 1000 addicts in our operational area.
