KRISTU JYOTI SOCIAL WELFARE SOCIETY

The Kristu Jyoti Social Welfare Society (KJSWS) is situated in village Diani, Samba district on the national high way 1A. It is registered in 1996 under the Societies Registration Act VI of 1941 amended on 1998 with a vision of to build a society rooted in love, justice, peace and equality. Since its inception the organization are providing their services in the area of health, literacy and income generation, and vocational training.The organization have good rapport in the area and implemented many developmental project such as Tailoring cum production center, school health program, SHGs, Community Health Center, Farmers club, IRDP, income generation program etc. with support by KKS Germany, CRS, NABARD, MIVA, OXFARM, CEVA, Caritas India, IGSSS, J&K state government and State Women s Development Cooperation etc. KJSWS has good linkage with other Go. & NGOs like State Women Development Cooperation, State Govt. and NGOs like CSSS, Kalamkari - Jammu, Nirmal Mata Akhnoor etc. KJSWS has also implemented two-watershed project supported by Caritas India, NABARD and Indo Global social Service Society. , , KJSWS have good infrastructure such as training halls, office, computers, phone, fax, Jeep, TV, generator etc and have 11 regular paid and 2 voluntary staffs. , , The Society also takes care of Jai Hind farmer s Multi Purpose Cooperative Society and Kristu Jyoti SHG credit Union and two Farmer s Club.
