KARUNA CHARITABLE SOCIETY

We won the first place in March past and first runner up for over all championship at Special Olympics state meet held at International Stadium in 2005.Won the first runner up for over all championship at Kerala State special Olympics meet and won the second runner up for March past at Kerala state special Olympics meet held in 2008.The special school Best non-teaching staff award for 2012 was given to Padmajakumary of Karuna Special School by Prof. K.V. Thomas, Hon ble Central Minister of food.This school has been recieving the Over all championship in connection with world disabled day celebrations since 2007. 12 students of our school passed the equivalency 4 th standard examination conducted by the literary mission, Kerala. This year we will be presenting about 17 students for the equivalency 7th standard examination.Many of our students have successfully completed the training and psychological treatments. The dormant skills of these children have been tapped and transformed into working abilities. Our student Anu.S has recieved the first privilege card from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former President of India at the Valiyath Star Kids programme in connection with Valiyath Super Speciality Hospital inauguration on 25-09-2013.
