Special features of the organization

Kangra Mahila Sabha (KMS) was established in 1982 in Himachal Pradesh with mission of empowering the socio-economic, political, cultural and personal life of mountain community. Kangra Mahila Sabha had been working in the state since past twenty five years primarily on the welfare approach. It took activities like running child creche`s, vocatinal training camps, Awareness Generation Camps, Human Rights, Capacity Building, information dissemination,Promoting Rural Technology, Networking and moblization,implementation at grassroots level. KMS is undertaking activities with the support from Central Social Welfare Board, NABARD, H.P Forest Sector Reform Project of DFID, CAPART Chandigarh, State Council for Science Technology and Environment Shimla, PRIA (Participatory Research In Asia New Delhi and Environmental Equity and Justice Partnership (EEJP) under foreign Funding support
