Kaishiki Natyavahini a centre for Research and development of Dance, Music and Yoga, was established in the year 1989 by Guru Dr. Mala Shashikanth. , , Features of Kaishiki Natyavahini , , Kaishiki Natyavahini is providing value oriented cultural education which enhances the character and intellect of the student. , With an aim to mould the tender minds, along with Bharatanatya, training is provided for students in Music Vocal & Instruments, , Sanskrit Shlokas, Yoga- which establishes an intimate link between asanas of Yogashastra & karanas of Bharatanatya. , Studies at Natyavahini are rooted in Ashtanga with emphasis on Moral & Ethical living, training in Yama, Niyama Asanas, Mudras & Pranayama leading to an integrated development of both body & mind. , Natyavahini is organizing many platforms for students performance and training them to excel in this field. , The ultimate goal of Natyavahini is to help the students to niche for themselves in the dancing world. , , 25 years Milestones of progress : , Production of Dance dramas / Dance features. , Highlighting the dance traditions of Karnataka. , Conducting Thyagaraja / Vaggeyakaras Aradhanas. , Programmes in Dance / Music, Lecturers and Demonstrations. , Samskrutha Shibhiras. , During the period of twenty five years Kaishiki Natyavahini has grown into a prestigious institution by winning the recognition of Central and State Governments, besides the support of numerous commercial houses from all over India. It has to its credit in the field of research and training, it has developed into a prominent cultural centre of Jayanagar, Bangalore. , Delineating the lyrical beauty of ancient classics by poets Harihara and Kumaravyasa. , Production of a dance feature Paramparadhara with the theme revolving round the evolution of classical dance in Karnataka. Profoundly impressed by this work, the Government of Karnataka sponsored a chain display of Paramparadhara all over Karnataka. , Identifying and bringing together of prevalent dance substyles of Karnataka on a common platform under the project Karnataka Nruthya Sangama . , Honouring the veterans who have rendered staunch service to the preservation and promotion of the Mysore School of Bharatanatya. , , Plans : , , To grant scholarship to the deserving students. , To conduct dance appreciation programmes in educational and cultural institutions. , Instituting awards to the talented upcoming artists. , To organize short term specialized courses in Abhinaya . , To build a new repertoire including the ancient items of dance compositions.
