JSS Mahavidyapeetha a registered society in 1962 has established more than 300 institutions, 1 university under UGC and private university under State Government with overseas present in Dubai, Mauritius, USA. JSSMVP for administrative purpose has the following divisions looking after various aspects of socio-economic activities: , 1. General Education , 2. Medical Education , 3. Technical Education , 4. Overseas division , The divisions of JSSMVP have received awards and recognitions at State and National levels. , , The technical division in particular implementing JSS Mysore Urban Haat and DCH activities has received various awards recognitions with details as under: , , i) JSS RUDSETI Award by Ministry Rural Development, GOI-2012 , ii) JSS RUDSETI Award by Ministry Rural Development, GOI-2013 , iii) JSS RUDSETI Award by Ministry Rural Development, GOI-2014 , iv) JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled, Mysuru National Award from President of India from Ministry of Social Justice & empowerment, GOI as BEST INSTITUTION. , v) Certificate of appreciation has been awarded to JSS Mahavidyapeetha for effectively using CST System for community cooking in our educational institutions for the year 2016 in the National Workshop CS Technologies in Solar Cookers by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, GOI on 29.04.2016 in New Delhi. , vi) Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (SJCE-STEP), Mysore Awarded as BEST-STEP during the year 2001 with cash award of Rs.1.00 lakh from Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. , vii) JSS Academy of Technical Education - Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (JSSATE-STEP), Noida Awarded as BEST-STEP during the year 2004 from Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. , , Our associate with M/s.AEC Corporation has been awarded BEST EXPORTER for paper handicrafts in Chamarajanagar backward District by Hon ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka in the year 2015-16. JSSMVP has provided infrastructural and mobilisation of rural women from backward areas of Chamarajanagar District. , JSS Mysore Urban Haat is established under PPP model with the following pattern as per : , 1. Grant from DCH Rs. 68.60 lakhs , 2. Grant from DC (Handlooms) Rs. 68.60 lakhs , 3. Grant from GOK Rs. 30 lakhs , 4. Contribution from JSSMVP Rs. 28 lakhs plus Rs. 172 lakhs = Rs. 2 Crores , JSSMVP has provided not only scheme funds but also met escalation cost of Rs. 172 lakhs in addition to providing 5 acres of land as contribution. JSSMUH is one of the few urban haats functioning in the country and is only urban haat set up under PPP model with private initiatives.
