Jeppiaar Engineering college (MBA) , Department of Management studies was started in the year 2001, affiliated to Anna University Chennai and Approved by AICTE, New Delhi with an intake of 60 students. In the year 2007, the intake was increased to 120 with TWO sections. We have 4 Professors, 2 Associate Professors and remaining are Assistant Professors working in the MBA department. We offer 6 different electives such as Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, Operations,Logistics and Shipping and Systems. The Department has given a consistent result of 95% & has produced a total of 1280 successful MBA graduates in the last 13 batches along with 70 University Ranks including 1 Gold Medal. The Department also provides Training and Placement to our students to ensure that more than 90% of students get placed every year through on & off Campus interviews in the reputed companies like Wipro, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), RR Donnelley, ICICI , BNY Mellon, TVS, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC, Butterfly, VGP Snow kingdom, Redington, NTT Data, Trade India, Omics, Zylo Systems, BASE Automation, Face, Jaro Education, etc with annual salary package of 2.5 lakhs to 5.0 lakhs. We have also signed MoU s with many Professional Bodies like Madras Management Association (MMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Chennai (MSMEDI), Ministry of MSME, New Delhi, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Ahmadabad, National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India, Mumbai, National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), Sustainable Education and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED), Rotract Club for the welfare of the students. , Entrepreneurship Development Cell was commenced in the year 2005 to nurture the skills of entrepreneurship and groom entrepreneurs for the growth and development of our nation. Graduates instead of depending only on job as a medium of their career, they are provided with an alternative to get self-employed and pave the way for many more employment opportunities as Entrepreneurs through EDC. I am happy to inform you that six of our alumni students had become Entrepreneurs in the last 5 years. Our Department has got the following , Funded Projects. , , o AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme on Financial Analysis of Business Concern which was held during April 26th to May 7th 2010 - The project was completed. , o TNSCST DIT Sponsored project in October 2010 on Empowerment of Women on Entrepreneurship The project was also completed. , o National Commission of Women sponsored a project on A Study on Compliance to provisions of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace, with the focus on Private sector in TamilNadu - It is ongoing project. , o ICSSR Sponsored Seminar was organized in the month of February 2015 on SMART CITIES The way Ahead of Inclusive Exclusive growth - The project was completed. , , Our students M.G. Rakhee & Sakthibala.S won state volleyball championship & they represented senior national Tamilnadu volleyball team and represented Anna University. Our students were placed South-East Railways through sports quota.
