Jay Research and Biotech India Private Limited, Pune , , Jay Research and Biotech India Private Limited JRBIPL, former name Jay Biotech initially started as a partnership company settled down in Pune, India. It was started as they are having their research farms having major crops like grapes, sugarcane, pomegranate and vegetables. JRBIPL started producing bioorganic products for their farms named as Bafna farm. These bioorganic products are used to produce export quality grapes and pomegranates. The grapes are exported since last 16 years to leading supermarkets in UK and Europe. , , R and D activities at Jay Research and Biotech India Private Limited , 1. Collaboration with Dadelos, Valencia, Spain entitled Bio-sanitary and bio-stimulants products based on the combination of microorganisms and organic stabilized bio-nutrients. Principally approved under Indo-Spain Collaboration in Biotechnology programme of Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi and Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, Spain. , 2. Collaborations with RMIT University, Melbourn, Australia on Novel Eco friendly nano formulations for the control of powdery/downy mildew in grapes , 3. Imparting R&D training to BCIL trainee under BITP since 2010. Now, in 2016-2017 imparting training to 4 students , 4. Collaboration with Bharati Vidyapeeth for vegetable crops management. , 5. Collaboration with NCL, Pune, for the control of mealy bugs in grapes, DBT Funded, Successfully completed. , , Highlights of the work done in agriculture , Grape Management , 1. Producing export quality grapes in low quality soil , 2. 100 percent export of grapes to UK and Europe since 16 years , 3. No pesticide residue problem or no reanalysis of grape sample till today due to uses of microbial products , 4. In 2010, all the Indian grapes exported to Europe were in disaster due to the residue of Chloromquet Chloride, however, Bafna farm grapes qualified in Indian and European laboratories , 5. Developed a technology to take two crops in a year for grapes, 13th crop in 6.5 years of variety Manjari Navin , 6. Reduced use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides by 50 to 75 percent , 7. Successfully grown grapes without chemical nitrogen for 3 years on 60 acres substituting by bio- products , 8. Successfully grown grapes with-out chemical pesticide for 4 years , Pomegranate Management , 1. Successfully grown pomegranate with less chemical nitrogen , 2. No anti-biotic use for Xanthomonas blight control for last 3.5 years from plantation, against recommendation of 15 to 20 sprays per year , 3. Grown pomegranate in less water due to biofertilizer use and subsurface drip irrigation technology , Sugarcane management , 1. Produced 100 ton sugarcane per acre in same low quality soil using less water and less N P K use Average farmers yield of sugarcane of this area is 40 tons per acre , , Other Information , Every year more than 5000 farmers, buyers from UK, Europe, scientist and industrialist visit Bafna farm to understand agricultural developments due to use of Bioorganic products. Importantly use Bio-product in Bafna farm is 75 percent while global bioproduct use is below 5 percent.
