Jan shikshna sansthan , tumkur called shramik vidyapeetha till 2000 is identified as one of the important institutions which provide basic training vocational skills of the neo-literates / semi literates and non-literates and unemployed youths of the slums and backward area of tumkur district . It was started the year 1994-95 , by sanction of MHRD Government of India new delhi it has conducted a large number of short term and part time vocational training programmes. Beside it has conducted a number of social activites in co-operation with the government departments and non government organisation As per the guidlilnes issued by the government of India the institution was handed over to well reputed NGO Sree Siddaganga Edcuation Society on 17-01-2003.
