JAN SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN THRISSUR

Jan Shikshan Sansthan Thrissur established in the year 2000 and achieved remarkable progress through its excellent service in providing literacy linked vocational training and awareness programmes to the needy deprived and under privileged sections of the society for augmenting their income and to provide academic and technical support to district literacy mission through continuing education centers in taking up vocational skill development programmes mainly for illiterates neo literates women SC ST communities minorities back ward classes and physically challenged. In addition to this JSS has been providing vocational skill development programmes to the needy in collaboration with kudumbasree SHGs panchayath raj instituions Government departments and other voluntary organizations. The vocational skill development programmes conducted by the JSS has benefited the participants to obtain wage employment self employment and facilitated to set up their own production units and service centers.Training programmes of JSS Thrissur has covered 46269 beneficiaries from 2000 onward. Jan Shikshan Sansthan has been conducting awareness programmes and activities in social economic and cultural fields. It is noteworthy to mention that the life enrichment education is a part and parcel of our vocational training programmes. A large number of the beneficiaries were linked to the centrally sponsored schemes such as Prime Ministers Jan Dhan Yojana Prime Ministers Sureksha Bhima Yojana Pradhan Manthri Mudra Yojana Sansaad Adharsh Gram Yojana.
