Jan Shikshan Sansthan Mohali

Jan Shikshan Sansthan Mohali has provided vocational skills training to 28856 beneficiaries in various courses since its inception in December 2000 till June 30, 2016. Most of the beneficiaries are self-employed while some are wage employed after completing their training. Of the total beneficiaries trained approximately 74 per cent were females, about 71 per cent of them belonged to socio-economically weak and educationally backward families. About 66 per cent of the total beneficiaries trained were either non-literates or neo-literates. JSS Mohali has also conducted a number of awareness activities on the following issues: , - Promotion of literacy, especially female literacy , - Drug de-addiction , - Environment protection , - Promotion of financial and legal literacy , - Promotion of health and cleanliness (Swachhta) , - Promotion of local Indian languages (Matri Bhasha) , JSS Mohali has also actively participated in promoting various government schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojna, Mudra Yojana and Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
