INDIAN SOCIETY OF SOIL BIOLOGY AND ECOLOGY

The society is a non-profit scientific and educational body. No member of the society shall be entitled to any distributive share of its assets and profits. The major activities are , 1.To advance the basic and applied research on various aspects of soil biology & ecology in India , 2.To promote close relationships and wider understanding between soil biologists and ecologists of India & other countries. , 3.To publish journal of soil biology & ecology in English ,bibliography, checklists,faunal keys ,reviews etc in the field of soil biology and ecology. , 4.To hold meetings or symposium etc at regular interval to provide a platform for the exchange ,discussion of current developments etc in the field of soil biology and ecology. , So far the society organized one international colloquium ,11 national symposia and published 36 volumes of the Journal of soil biology and ecology.
