Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists

The Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists was founded in the year 1985 with the Headquarters in the Department of Agricultural Biochemists C.S.Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. Major achievements of the society is briefly as under , 1. The society is regularly publishing its six monthly journal namely Indian journal of Agricultural Biochemistry since 1988. The last published issue was vol. 29, no.2, Dec. 2016. Presently it has NAAS rating of 4.69. , 2. The Society is regularly organizing National and International conferences/Symposia alongwith its convention since 1988. So far it organized Eight National and five International conference. The eight National Symposia/Conferences were organized at C.S.A.U.&T., Kanpur in 1988; at N.D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad in 1991; at Banaras Hindu University in 1995; at Lucknow University in 1996; at Gujarat Agri. University, Junagarh in 1998; at C.S.A.U.&T. Kanpurin 2000; at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore in 2001 and at Assam Aricultural University, Jorhat, Assam in 2003. The International Conferences were oganized at Indian Agricultural Research Institute New Delhi in 1993; at C.S.A.U.T. Kanpur in 2006; at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 2010; at Venkatashwara University, Tirupati, A.P. in 2013 and at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat in 2016. , 3. The Society opened its five chapters in different universities such as CSKHPKV, Palampur, H.P. in 1996; at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam in 2003; at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiyana in 2008; at the Rubber Reseasch Institute of India, Kottayam, Kerala in 2014 and Gujarat chapter at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat in 2017. , 4. The Siciety Published the Proceedings of the International Conference held at I.A.R.I., New Delhi in 1993; Proceeding of the National Symposium held at Gujarat Agricultural University, Junagadh in 1998 and Proceedings (in book form) of the International Conference held at C.S.A.U.&T.Kanpur in 2006. , 5. The Palampur chapter of the society published the proceedings of the Seminar held their in 2000.
