1. Vigyan Ashram Center , , Pre vocational program Introduction to Basic Technology IBT developed by our center Vigyan Ashram is now part of National Skills Qualification Framework. It is called as Multi Skill Foundation Course. It is getting implemented in more than 150 schools in 4 states , , Our Vigyan Ashram center is Fab Lab for digital fabrication. This is Fab Lab O ie first fab lab in the global network of Fab Lab , Our center Vigyan Ashram at Pabal is vocational Training Provider with various sectors skills councils and accredited vocational institute of NIOS , , Our center Vigyan Ashram, have received several award including Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Innovation Forum award, Development Marketplace award by World bank and others , We have developed several technologies and commercialized them. , Details are on our website , www.vigyanashram.com , , Our center in village Pabal, Vigyan Ashram is working on issues of rural development and try to address them through education system. To do this we are working on development of appropriate technologies, skills training on rural youth and helping them to establish their own enterprises. , In technology development our focus is on precision agriculture, agricultural tools and machinery, digital fabrication, renewal energy solution and water and waste management. , We are making efforts to develop alternatives to address problems of quality of school education. Our focus is on STEAM education Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. , We are engaged in addressing utility of education by developing & promoting Work Centric Education in schools. , , 2. The Centre for Educational Studie , The Indian Institute of Education, Pune was founded by J.P. Naik (1907 to 1981), humanist, freedom fighter, polymath, encyclopedic thinker and socialist educationist. Recognized by the UNESCO alongside Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi as three pioneering educationists, J.P. Naik is also known as an institution maker. After his death, the mission of the Indian Institute of Education was taken by his wife Chitra Naik (1918 to 2010) who continued his philosophy of decolonization of knowledge with her praxis of challenging educational orthodoxy. Presently the institution is working on interdisciplinary aspects of social sciences. Health studies, minority studies, tribal studies and studies in inclusive education are the leitmotivs of teaching, research and pedagogy , The Centre for Educational Studies is recognized by the University of Pune as a Permanently Recognized Research Institute under section 46 of the Pune University Act 1974 for conducting M.Phil and PhD programmes in Education Interdisciplinary. The objectives of the programme offered by the Centre are , , To create a pool of researchers trained to analyze, plan, manage and improve education , , To deal with path breaking scientific research and knowledge production in the areas of education and the social sciences , , To strengthen and further evolve methodologies of educational research for creating rational foundations for reviews and formulation of educational policies, plans and action programmers
