Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) was formed in 1961 and successfully completed 54 glorious years having membership of over 900 wholly Indian Large, Medium and Small Companies (Formulations & APIs) and State Boards in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Puducherry, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Telengana and Karnataka. Presented a White Paper on Journey Towards Pharma Vision 2020 And Beyond to the Government of India. Indian pharma industry has grown exponentially from 10 crore in 1948 to over 2,45,000 crore today with our members domestic market share almost 75% in Formulations and 85% in APIs. Exports of about 1,15,600 crore in FY 2015-16 with our members share almost 65%. MoUs signed with China Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA), Korea Pharmaceutical Industry Association (KPMA), DuBiotech, Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) and Toyoma Pharmaceutical Association (TPA) etc. 70 plus member companies have over 200 USFDA approved facilities. IDMA has been successfully organizing Pharmaceutical Analysts Convention (PAC), our Flagship event for over 19 years with the active participation of National & International Regulatory Authorities. IDMA also, organizes other Seminars, Training Programs & Workshops on various other verticals. IDMA and Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India are jointly conducting series of GMP Workshops for SMEs on Schedule M and Beyond For Global Quality and Compliance all over India.
