HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION CELL & WELLFARE ASSOCIATION, UNA , Since 2006 Human Rights Protection Cell &Welfare Association, Una is providing free legal service / counselling to individuals, societies, groups to protect their human rights. , Underlying principal of the association is that rather than counting the number of cases handled, solved of Human Rights violation, our commitment should be to provide selfless / free service to all and sundry whose dignity challenged / human rights violated. , During the year 30-35 cases of domestic violence, police atrocities, land disputes, social injustice, drug addiction etc. were dealt with. , The opening of Village Legal Care & Support Centre by National Legal Services Authority facilitated our work to some extent. , Every year on World Human Rights Day i.e., 10th Dec., a public awareness function is organized to sensitize and aware the people about their Human Rights and remedies in case they are violated. , This year the Annual function was organized on 13th Dec. 2015(Sunday) so that maximum no. of people could participate. , , Project for Special Schools for Person with Disability , , Aims & Objectives , , To mitigate the sufferings of Special rather blessed children [Mentally Challenged, deaf & dumb (Hearing Impaired)] & their parents. , , Provides Services for: , Identification of Children with Special Needs (CWSNs). , Special Education & Physical training. , Discover their hidden potential , Integrate children with Special needs into main stream of Society. , To undertake special programme, activities for the education & rehabilitation of persons with disability , To work for early intervention, prevention, medical rehabilitation, placement, economic self reliance of Special Children. , Counseling to parents & Community regarding myths & misconceptions about mental retarding/physical disability. , All services will be provided free of cost. , Establishment of Ashhraya , Ashhraya, came into existence in May 2010 with enrolment of 17 Special Children. As present it has 60 Special Children (46 mentally challenged & 14 hearing impaired) in addition to 3 Home based Special children, which is very much on target. , , Every year new academic session starts in April (around 15th to 18th) with Havan& Cultural function. School timings are from 09:00 AM to 01:30 PM. Children assemble at 09:00 AM Sharp for daily prayers & Physical exercise. Academics, Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy starts from 09:30 AM onwards as per specific needs of each child. Alpahar is provided at 10:50 AM. Alpahar contains Milk, Biscuits and fresh fruits as per availability. Mid day meal is served to all the children at 01:10 PM. Meal is prepared within the four walls of Ashhraya , which is duly checked by teaching staff on rotation before it is served to Special Children. Average attendance is 85% to 90%. Every Saturday is games/curricular activities day, special children learn art & craft, stitching, painting, music and play games of their choice. Once a week volunteers and Special children to cleaning activity to keep premises neat and clean. , , Every facility like Education, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Physical Exercise, Transportation, Uniform, Books, Medicines etc. is provided Free Of Cost.
