Guild For Service

The Guild For Service is a national voluntary developmental organization dedicated towards the empowerment of marginalized women and children. Working for more than four decades the Guild For Service has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and the Department of Public Information of the United Nations. , , Through our various projects, women and children affected by conflict situations and other unfortunate circumstances are empowered economically, politically and socially by ensuring them their rights, providing shelter to the one s abused and shunned away from society, giving them vocational training to build their capacities and make them self reliant so that they are rehabilitated completely. The Guild For Service is sensitive to the need of marginalized women to feel secure in a safe environment. We have a home for the widows at Vrindavan, another for violence affected women and children at Srinagar, our center s are also at Savai Madhopur and Najafgarh. , , The Guild For Service combines both grass root work experience with a visionary perspective to advocate for meaningful change in society. Through the endeavors of the Guild For Service and the networking of other NGOs many changes have been brought about in India vis a vis new gender sensitive laws, effective enforcement, and a slow but definite moving away from age old stereotypes regarding the role and contribution of women towards nation building.
