Special features of the organization

Gramya Vikash Mancha(GVM) has been working with a vision to create a peaceful, prosperous, egalitarian and exploitation free society in every village.Mission of GVM is to empower the underprivileged section of society to take control over social institutions, thereby create a society, where these people can live with dignity. Main activities of the organisation are socio-economic empowerment , emergency relief and response, Disaster Management. The organisation has been working with active support of Actionaid India, IGSSS, SDTT, Jamsetji Tata Trust, National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), UNICEF, NEDFi etc in rural areas of Assam. The organisation has about 300 volunteers and 87 full time volunteers.
