Dryland farming, promotion of indigenous cow based resources for agriculture, Rural Entrepreneurship Development, Self Help Groups, Low External Inputs and Sustainable Agriculture, Livestock conservation and mangement. , , Implemented Participatory Technology Development (PTD) process in Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) for promotion of rural livelihood improvements in dryland/rainfed agriculture (groundnut/tomato based cropping systems in semi-arid tropics) in five villages of ChandragiriTaluq since the year 2000. And also adopted five more villages in PulicherlaTaluq in 2006 and 2007 Kharif season, and implemented IFS through Farmer Field Schools (FFS) mode. , The project funded under bilateral agreement of Government of India and The Netherlands Government till 2001. Year 2002 onwards through Agriculture Man Ecology (AME) Foundation, Bangalore, Karnataka. At the end of project phase, to scale up Low External Inputs and Sustainable Agriculture (farming for the future) technologies, and to achieve greater level of sustainability, we have formed and registered federation by clubbing farmers Self-Help Groups viz., Potlakona Sustainable Agriculture Mutually Aided Co-operative Society (PSVS-MACS) based at Kalroadpally Village, Chandragiri Taluq, Chittoor District in 2008. , Placement of FOCARS (Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Services) Trainee Scientists from National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh for their Field/Village Experience Training. The placement programme carried out in the year 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2004 with the guidance of Regional Agricultural Research Station of Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Tirupati. , REDP in Manufacture of Jute Diversified Products (JDPs) in 2003-05 at Ithepally Village, ChandragiriTaluq supported by National Centre for Jute Diversification, Government of India, Kolkata.17 females and one male have developed skills in JDPs production. , Imparted hands on learning in Caps Making for 25 women under Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme (REDP) during 2003-05 in Tirupati with the support of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Government of India, Hyderabad. , Implemented Programme on Identification of Renal Disorders among our farming , communities in five villages of Chandragiri Taluq during the year 2006-07. , Organised Awareness Campaigns on Naturopathy Medical System for Women and General Public in 2008 and 2009 in Tirupati. Funded by National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune. , Conserving Pride of Drylands of India i.e., Indigenous Cow, local and Ongole breeds. We have rescued and saved 45 cows in 2010, and housed at our farm at RouthSuramala Village, ThottambeduTaluq, Chittoor District. Present strength:62 , Besides, we are conserving Friends of Poor Farmers of Semi-Arid Tropics namely Kalahasthi and Aseel native breeds of poultry, and Nellore Jodipi breed of sheep for posterity at RouthSuramala Village farm since 2010. , Observed World Day to Combat Desertification (WDCD) on 17th June 2008, 2013, 2014 and 2015 with the co-operation of United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Germany in our service area villages. , Promotion of Climate-Smart Sustainable Agriculture based on Indigenous Cow Resources an innovative method developed in our region.
