Special features of the organization

FOD was founded by a person with quadriplegia who led the organization for 32 years from his bed before we lost him in 2018. He was honored for demonstrating extraordinary courage and leadership skills in adverse circumstances. He was the recipient of 25 coveted awards for his selfless services National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and for the Child Welfare. Lakshmipat Singhania IIM, Lucknow National Leadership Award. He was also featured in the programme Satyamev Jayate.
