We are doing state-of-the-art research using computer simulations in the area of drug design, nanomaterials, alternate sources of energy such as using solar energy, Li ion battery materials, hard materials, materials for catalysis, novel materials development, and in general materials science. We have developed some codes to perform ab initio calculations on materials. We train people from all over the country for state-of-the-art research in materials science. Some students did work for Ph.D. degree and some post-doctoral work. We are interested in providing quality education and training at all levels in different fields and plan to initiate this activity soon.
