Development for Needy Welfare Organisation

Achievments: , (1). Vocational Training: - , , As done before, the organisation has DNWO VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE at Khwairakpam Leikai and training of girls & women (youth) are given in embroidering, tailoring, wool knitting & weaving. Altogether 30 trainees have undergone 3 months training course in 3 batches during this year. Not only this we have also training on weaving & Agarbati making. For rural agriculture we have training on Mushroom plantation in which 25 trainees have been given training on line this years. , , (2) Fruit preservation training: - , , One week training course on Domestic Method of fruit & vegetable preservation conducted by community fruit & Nutrition Extension Unit, Imphal was done at Konjenghajari Leikai 10/6/07 to 16/6/07 under the sponsorship of ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of women & Child Development, Food & Nutrition Board) , Gol. About 40 participants attended the programme. , , , (3) Crafts: - , , Training on crafts (bag making) is done and about 40 to 45 women have undergone this training programme and after this training programme these people are capable of earning money for their livelihood. , , (4) SOCIAL SERVICE CAMP. , , The organization has done every year social service at the locality. This year also we perfourmed social service camp from 16th September to 30th September , 2007. Altogether 35 women and 30 boys attended the camp. During the camp, many Nalas (Drains), culverts were cleaned and plantation of 100 different trees were by the volunteers. , , (5) Creche Centre: - , , One Creche Centre has been running with 25 to 30 children at kwakeithel khwairakpam Leikai, lmphal. These children are usually for the working women who brought their children for keeping in the cr che centre. This year we have 38 children admitted in the Creche Centre. , , (6) Naturopathy , , One day Naturopathy awareness camp was done at keishampat Leimajam Leikai , on 25th September 2007 with 40 women participants.
