About the organization

Special features of the organization

Delhi School of Social Work Society aims at promotion of education, research, training and action in the field of social welfare and development. The society is managed by member Board of Governors and headed by Prof, R.R.Singh as Chairperson and Prof, Ratna Verma as Vice Chairperson. Dr. Nira Agnimitra and Mrs. Sushma Batra are currently working as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The society is continuing with its efforts on HIV/AIDS prevention project under NACP-IV with partnership of Delhi State Aids Control Society. The project is working with sex workers and also includes integrated counselling and testing center. Society has taken up various action and research project in the current year. It has supported CCDA by giving operational responsibility of Gender Resource Center and Suvidha Kendra with support of Mission Convergence of Delhi Government. It has also undertaken two research projects namely ; Christians of Scheduled Caste origin in India - A Study of their Socio-Economic, cultural and Political Status and Due Diligence Process for the CII Women Exemplar Award 2010 and The Society also encourages students through awards, medals and scholarships.
