To uplift the moral and sporting spirit among deaf and to bring overall personality development. , 8. To improve their knowledge about various health issues like AIDS , 9. To provide them independent life by providing job opportunity. , 10. To encourage and develop culture and dramatics. , 11. To develop vocational skills. , 12. Counseling and Guidance , CURRENT ACTIVITIES , , 1. Vocational and Technical Training , , DFDW vision is to cater to the school left outs, illiterate deaf girls from underprivileged families for vocational training. For this it conducts non formal Vocational and Technical training programmes for them so as to prepare them for employment in small scale and for self employment. , , 2. Non Formal Education , , This course is specially designed for providing basic reading and writing skills in English.Other than English we also organize educational visits like visit to Bank, National Museum, Visit to Other NGO etc. , , 3. Matrimonial Assistance , , (PRANAY MILAN SAMMELAN since 1991) is the main hold for all young deaf boys and girls as this is the only program were they get an opportunity to meet and find their right companion of their life. , , 4. Miss India Silent beauty queen and Princes , Let see how beauty Pageant helped DEAF GIRLS , 1. Young talented deaf girls got the opportunity to show their talent and feel at par with other normal hearing girls. , 2. Their parents got encouraged to help their young deaf daughters to come out and explore the world. , 3. They got good opportunities in Pvt. Jobs as well as Govt. Jobs , 4. The winners got chance to model for magazines. They got recognition in the society. The media coverage bought them to the front pages of all newspapers from the closed doors of their houses. , 5. An immense growth in their inne self and confidence. , , 6. Promoting Cultural & Sports activities , We organize different programs to promote Sports among Deaf specially Deaf Women and young Children. Few of our events organized are , 1. Deaf Child Talent Contest , 2. National Sports Championship for Deaf Women , 3. CONDUCT National Conference for Deaf and Cultural Festival of India For Deaf Women. , , 7.Guidance and Counseling LEGAL AWARNESS , , We help deaf students and their parents in resolving their problems and also in guiding them in what is good for their child. We also help deaf young girls in getting legal assistance through our legal advisor.
