Special features of the organization
Brief Achievements of the Community Development Programme Centre, M.I. Road, Thoubal achouba, Thoubal, Manipur are briefly stated below on some special sectors viz, , 1. The CDPC is implementing a shcme on Prevention of Alcoholism and substance Abuse (Drugs) since 2000-2001 hitherto under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi (DP I Section). Th output & credentials of the centre are commendable. All the staffs are trained by the NISD (MoSJE) and R.R.T.C.-N.E.-I, Imphal. , 2. The programme of Home for Destitute Women & Children due to the Social problems and HIV/AIDS are implementing under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi since 2005 2006 hitherto. The capacity of the Home is 50 (25 women and 25 children). All the infrastructure are well equipped with spacious areas and well trained staffs for management of the scheme are available. , 3. The Shihu Greh (Child Adoption centre) scheme are implementing for 10(Ten) nos. of children since 2005-06 hitherto under the Ministry of women and child development, Govt. of India, New Delhi (CARA) successfully under the guidance of the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Manipur and nodal agency (Manipur branch). The staffs and infrastructure of the centre are well equipped and spacious and adoption reports are submitted in timely for further necessary action. , 4. The Centre is running a day care centre (Aspiration) for person with Disabilities (PWD) with cerebral palsy, Autism, mental retarded with multiple Disabilities of children (0-7yrs) for capacity of 20 nos. under the National Trust, (MoSJE, Govt. of India, New Delhi) during the year 2009 2010. The scheme is implementing properly and supervised by the District Administration, Thoubal, Manipur. , 5. The Organization is running Coaching centre for different professional courses as Residential for outsiders and non-residential for local students specially for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities etc. without charges of Fees. Trained staffs, recreation room, class rooms, library are available. , 6. Vocational Training for self income generating based to the traditional and non-traditional trades are functioning by forming of SHGs of Destitute Women including SC/ST/OBC/Minorities. The products are sole and benefitted to the Beneficiaries. , 7. The Organization conducted Awareness on Gender issues, RCH, Insurance for PWD persons, Traffic Rule for Disabled persons, computer application, distribution of teaching and learning materials of disable children, drinking of filter water (hygienic) and sanitary system, on culture topics, regarding sports activities, preservation of water-shades and wasteland, climate change in the global etc. in different places, schools, colleges, Rural areas for the development and welfare of the people of Manipur. , , Lastly, the Organization is registered member of National Trust (MoSJE, GoI, New Delhi) since 2001 and Registration No. is 1401/MD/2001. And also partnership with Care-n-cure charitable society, New Delhi, Registered Member of India-CCM etc. The above stated are brief activities and achievements of the organization (CDPC), Thoubal, Manipur.
