More than 500 women in Thoubal district have been economically empowered under CDO microfinance project for pverty alleviation.2500 farmers in Thoubal, Bishnupur and Chandel districts are producing organic crops under CDO organic farming project for rural development funded by KZE Germany. People in Bishnupur and Thoubal districts are motivated and educated for their involvement in the initiatives to promote loktak lake ecosystems and protect environment under CDO bioderversity conservation project funded by NC-IUCN Netherlands. Under family counselling centre programme, counselling services are offered to women in trouble in Thoubal and its adjoining areas and 584 women, victims of actrocities have received benefits form the family counselling centre run by CDO under funding support from the central social welfare board, thereby sorting their problem. Unemployed tribal youths have been trained for ptrmoting agro-forestry practices to ensure conservation of agricultural assets, mountain ecology and sustained crop production.Indigenous people in Kwatha haverained for production of value added fermented bamboo shoot and its market management for better profit. CDO run youth guidance centre provides youths in the state with zero cost regular career counselling opportunities, which enable them to build their educational and job careers.
