Special features of the organization
Our focus areas of working are livelihood development,community health, HIV/AIDS,education, child development, natural resource management and women empowerment.We also conduct evaluation, research studies and impact assessments for Govt. and Non-Govt. private agencies. , , Among major programs in Health dimension, we are implementing the Sahiyya (ASHA) program under NRHM in 2 districts of Jharkhand,in partnership with Deptt. of Health & Family Welfare,GOJ.We are also managing 2 CHC,7 PHCs and 9 HSCs under PPP mode in partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare,Govt. of Meghalaya.We are implementing the targeted intervention project in Chaibasa district,Jharkhand,sponsored by JSACS. In partnership with UNICEF,we are implementing Bundling Activities & Routine Immunization in Jharkhand. We are working with Deptt. of Health & Family Welfare,GOJ to operationalize 10 Mobile Medical Units. We are also providing technical assistance to GOJ on improving nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women in Godda district,Jharkhand,under VISTAAR Project,USAID. , , In Education, we have implementing a program for the deprived urban children in Ranchi in partnership with Medici per La Pace (Italy) and CINI. Also, in partnership with Department of Welfare, Govt. of Bihar,we have managed 4 Child Labour Schools at Nawada,Bihar. We have been empanelled as Research and Evaluation Agency by Jharkhand Education Project Council. , , Under the dimension of livelihood, we are empanelled with National Horticulture Mission and are conducting horticultural activities as per their guidelines. We also did a model of Aquaculture Cooperative for Scheduled Caste beneficiaries sponsored by the Ministry of Welfare,GOJ. We are also doing the Lac Development Project in districts of Jharkhand,sponsored by Tribal Welfare Commissioner,Ministry of Welfare, GOJ. We successfully completed the Jharkhand Tribal Development Program in Ranchi district, Jharkhand,supported jointly by International Fund for Agriculture Development(IFAD),Ministry of Welfare and Jharkhand Tribal Development Society. Under Prototype Project,with deptt of Welfare, Ministry of Welfare,GOJ,we are doing Prototype projects of Horticulture,Goat Rearing, Water Harvesting and Land Development in districts of Jharkhand. We have formed SHGs & done their capacity building in 3 districts of Jharkhand,under the SGSY scheme, in partnership with the respective DRDAs. , , For Natural Resource Management,we have been leased a Watershed Model Demonstration Park by Soil and Water Conservation Department, Ramgarh.We are also doing the Sector Wide Approach Programme in 4 districts of Uttarakhand sponsored by Deptt. of Drinking Water,Govt. of Uttarakhand and World Bank.Also,sponsored by DRDA, Bokaro,we are implementing the DPAP Watershed Program under Haryali scheme. , , Under Child Development,we have done Child Labour Survey for 5 districts in Jharkhand sponsored by Deptt. of Labour, Employment and Training. We are running a children home in Bihar, 2 NRC in patna and Bhagalpur. , , With regard to Evaluation and study,we have done Social Audits of NREGA scheme in 3 districts of Jharkhand sponsored by Deptt. of Rural Development, GOJ. We also did the Monitoring and evaluation of plantation activities under 20 point programme, in Assam & Manipur,sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forestry,New Delhi. , , We have also provided Consultancy support services to Corporate agencies and PSUs like ONGC, Arcelor Mittal,Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Abhijeet Group of Companies and have done Pre-Project Socio-economic survey, preparation of perspective plans, community development activities etc. We have provided consultative inputs on R&R packages as per the R&R policy of Jharkhand.We have implemented R & R project for Chattisgarh state road sector project public works deptt. Raipur Gov of Chattisgarh supported by Asian Development bank. , , Achievements: , We have been working very closely with the rural and peri-urban communities and thus have very strong presence in the community.Ensuring community participation in all our processes have developed good level of understanding and faith between us, which is showing the way forward towards their sustainable development. , , We have developed excellent liasion with the different Govt. Departments.We have been empaneled as Member of District Health Society, Godda. , , We are also privileged to get interns from premier management Institutes like S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai,Xavier Institute of Social Service etc. , , We run State Level Bal Bhawan by National Bal Bhawan,Ministry of Human Resource Development.
