Chetana works under five verticals: , 1. Education , Udaan-Free tuition classes : 500+ students have received the benefits from these classes. , , Teach India : 500+ students have received the benefits from these classes. The programme aims to give learners the confidence to use English in contexts such as retail, customer service, travel and hospitality, financial services and job interviews. Around 20 students were empowered. , , Surr Chetana : Surr-Chetana, is one of the projects of Chetana Conscience of Women.It began with instrumental training of students like Tabla & Harmonium.More than 75 students received training from this course. , , Summer Camp-Masti Ki Pathshala : The summer camp that Chetana conducts witnesses the sharing and learning of a plethora of constructive skills and activities and has managed to reach 500+ children. , , 2.Safety , Saftey Awareness and Self Defense Classes : Chetana conducts Safety Awareness Workshops and Self-Defence Classes in schools, colleges, coaching institutes and Resident Welfare Associations all over Delhi and NCR.The basic aim is to make women aware about their surroundings, make them more vigilant and spontaneous to any dangers. With an overwhelming response from the participants.Chetana has reached out to around 4000 beneficiaries through 50+ workshops and talks. , , 3.Empowerment , Skill Development C entres : Chetana realizes the importance and an indispensable need of skill development in a person s life in order to help them lead a life of respect and self-reliance. Therefore, we organise tailoring/knitting training program to enhance the quality of life of women and teenage girls through enhancement of their skills and knowledge.More than 30 women been empowered at Mohan Garden(Uttam Nagar),22 women in Baljeet Nagar and 40 teenage girls and women in Naraina Industrial Area. , , 4.Health , Behijhak Baatein : With the objective to spread awareness about Menstrual Health and Hygiene in government schools and slums, Chetana started conducting workshops. These workshops have been conducted in over 50 schools of Delhi/NCR and have reached 2500+ beneficiaries. , , Health Camps : Chetana organises health camps in schools, residential apartments and slums for all focusing women and children. These services comprise of eye check-ups, dental check-ups, and general health check-ups. Around 25 camps have been organized in different places of Delhi and benefitted 1200+ people. , , 5.Awareness , Gender Sensitization : The main idea on which Chetana works is Gender Sensitization. Therefore, to understand what gender is and what are the general generalizations that affect us, Chetana is trying to spread awareness by conducting workshops in schools and colleges among children at grassroots level and youth for a gender bias free society. , , Legal Awareness : , Counseling Centre: Marital Counseling- Chetana also guidance and support to women suffering from discords in their marital and family life, including pre marital issues, cases of domestic violence, dowry, and other exploitations which these women and their families face.
