Chaitanya Urban and Rural Development Sansthe Bailhongal CURDS a secular Non profit non political voluntary organisation was established and started working with Agricultural vulnerable rural poor people by organising and involving them in their development activities , Chaitanya Urban and Rural Development Sansthe is a Non Government, Voluntary Social Service and Development Organization working among rural poor artisans in the field of integrated Rural Development in the most backward and interior, drought affected and agriculture dependent villages , The range of programs implemented are People s participation and Community Development activities in different programs. It is also implementing Awareness Generation Programs on Educational & Socio-economic activities Agriculture, women Development, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene Education , 1. Integrated Watershed Development Program IWMP in Hanagal Taluka of Haveri district under Watershed Department GOK Here, we are covering 12 villages of the taluka where in awareness generation SHG formation various trainings net planning in the farmers fields covering both women & men Education regarding the watershed program is given in depth so that the farmers themselves also can go for some income generation activities based on the resources available in their vicinity , 2. HIV/AIDS awareness programs in Koppal & Belgaum districts of Karnataka. Migrants Targetted Intervention program in Koppal district and Link Worker Program in Belgaum district under Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society(KSAPS), Bangalore. , 3. Citizen Helpdesk program under KHSDRP of Health Dept GOK assisted by World Bank in Mandya district Hospital Mandya Thousands of people visit the district hospital were in they are given all the information regarding the hospital facilities & doctors availability Thus working as helpers to the poor patients to cure their diseases & get the maximum benefit out of the program , 4. Awareness generation programme AGP under Central Social Welfare Board Delhi The program is conducted with aim of creating awareness in the community on issues relating to the status, rights and problems of women Its main objectives are to identify the needs of rural and poor women to increase their active participation in decision making both in the family and community on development issues including atrocities on women and children In turn these trained resource persons gave trainings to village communities covering 25 women from 5 villages The trainings were conducted in Devalapur of Bailhongal taluka of Belgaum district This program will help in over all awareness of women folk with all regards especially income generation activities , 5. MOBILE HEALTH CLINIC program under KHSDRP of Health Dept of Karnataka Govt assisted by World Bank in Bailhongal Taluka of Belgaum district We are covering more than 20000 populations under this program It has a manpower of 6 members with a Doctor 2 nurses Pharmacist Attender & driver The main objective is to increase utilization of qualitative & measurable public & private health services particularly in underserved areas and amongst the vulnerable groups , 6. Biodiversity programs in three districts namely Belgaum, Koppal and Haveri is being done presently. , 7.
