Achievements of Bisnouli Sarvodaya Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan , , Bisnouli Sarvodaya Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan (BSGSS) is an all India-based voluntary organization working actively in the realms of women empowerment, healthcare, education, vocational training, social mobilization, micro-finance, handicrafts and awareness generation on various socio-economic issues. The organization has conducted several progammes in Delhi, UP and Punjab. In order to achieve our goals, we enter into partnership with the community, like-minded organizations, governmental institutions and the private sectors. Earlier, Bisnouli served as the Nodal Agency of the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, for Gender Resource Centres (GRC) in South Delhi. Similarly, Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK), Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of India, appointed the organization as the Nodal Agency in the state of Punjab to address the micro-finance initiatives. , , Skill Development Programmes: The organization conducts various short-term skill development programmes in the target areas for computer education, cutting & tailoring, dairy development, food processing, textile designing, candle making , arts & crafts etc. After completion of training, we help our beneficiaries to get fruitful jobs through tie-up with business houses and placement agencies. , , Social Mobilization , Formation of Self-help Groups & Marketing : Realizing the role of social sensitization, social mobilization and formation of self-help groups (SHGs) for improving the lot of the poor and disadvantaged women, artisans and farmers, we set up SHGs for these target groups so that they can engage in viable income generation activities. , , Awareness Generation Programmes & Literacy Campaigns : We regularly organize awareness generation programmes, including camps and workshops, on a wide spectrum of subjects like health & sanitation, HIV/AIDS, literacy and adult education, gender equality, road safety, nutrition, human rights, legal help, alcoholism, smoking, drug-deaddiction, atrocities against women, environmental protection etc. , , Healthcare Services: The organization facilitates primary healthcare services in the target area through health clinics and mobile dispensaries so as to address various healthcare needs of the common man at cost effective manner. , , Micro-finance, Micro-enterprises & Women Empowerment : In order to better address various socio-economic developmental issues of the disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the society, the organization launched an innovative and integrated project, namely Action for Micro-finance and Rehabilitation (AMAR). Through this project , we help target groups to increase their income and contribute to the development of their family. , , Youth Development Programmes & Cultural Activities : We regularly organize various programmes for youth development including youth leadership training, adventure programmes like trekking, seminars on various topics, cultural meets, celebrations of Women s Day, Republic Day, New Year etc. , , Experience in the implementation of government sponsored projects : Apart from the organization s own initiatives, Bisnouli has implemented a number of grant-in-aid projects in the past, sponsored by various Ministries and government agencies/ departments like Ministry of WCD, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of HRD, Delhi Transport Department, MCD, etc. , , In short, BSGSS has been actively involved in promoting the status of women, farmers , artisans and youth through appropriate capacity building programmes. We are committed to making our programmes socially, financially and environmentally sustainable.
