Established in 1988 as a grass root people s organization with an objective of obtaining people s participation for development, HNYKS is today functioning as an intermediary Socio-Economic Development Organization (SEDO) in the state of Haryana besides providing consultancy in the fields of Women Empowerment, Health, Education & Training, Environment etc. Since its inception HNYKS has undertaken various urban & rural development programmes in the areas of Healthcare, Education &Training, Income Generation, Women Empowerment, Environmental, Ecological & Cultural Heritage preservation and Action research. Following the process of providing access to resources to the beneficiaries and subsequent empowerment for achieving programme sustainability, HNYKS has been able to establish a dedicated network of volunteers at the grass-roots level who serve in its various programmes. HNYKS has been creating conditions in which the poor and the marginalised can discover themselves as active participants in the developmental process. , , Besides implementing various field projects in vast sectoral areas, HNYKS has also facilitated formation of numerous community based organizations in urban and rural areas of Haryana. These registered organizations are HNYKS s project partners in the state of Haryana.
