We are running a home for Destitute old Women . The criteria is she should have no body in the world to look after her. she should have no shelter, she should be above 50 years of age. We provide the women food shelter, all encompassing medical care and any other requisite to to lead a life of dignity and comfort at least in the sunset years of their lives. 50 percentage of the women are mentally deranged. We provide hospitalization and treatment to them . All the above is absolutely free. we are running on charity without any institutional or Govt. help. The enormity of the challenge can be understood from the fact that 8 of the inmates are on psychiatric drugs , one passed away recently because of cancer, another battling due to terminal cancer, yet another bed ridden for rest over life because of porous bone that break if she puts her body weight on it. we are also helping a few poor but meritorious students financially to pursue their studies. All but four of the 17 trustee in their 70s and come from different professions they provide self less voluntary service. Mentally sick inmates have been cured reasonably and they are leading a some what normal life, they will be on psychiatric drugs for rest of their life
