BASIC FOUNDATION

Some of our main achievements for the year 2009-2010 are as under , 1. 22 children of rag pickers and railway children send to MCD primary school. , 2. 13 children send to private schools under economic weaker section (EWS). , 3. 8 children got birth certificate from MCD birth registration office in the year 2009-10. , 4. We filled forms for Ladli scheme in which 7 girls registered their names through Basic Foundation. , 5. We facilitated in providing pension to 11 old age people. , 6. Conducted 4 health camps in different slums in which 257 women, children and old age people were covered. , 7. Besides women related issues, the Basic Foundation is also addressing various community issues such as environment, hike in electricity bills, education for girls, public distribution system, right to information, disability, labour laws, water and sanitation. , 8. Formation of people groups BASIC Mahila Sangthan (BASIC Women Group), BASIC Naujawan Sangthan (BASIC Youth Group), BASIC Bal Panchyat (BASIC Children Group), NGO Workers Association (Movement for Right to Social Security for NGO Workers), BASIC Majdoor Morcha (BASIC Labour Forum) are community level forums of people working on local issues.
