ARPNA

ARPNA in its inception organized women groups in two hundred working villages and formed one hundred and fifty women Self help Group of which fifty groups are exclusively from dalit community that includes Dailts and Disabled. The idea behind formation of such groups had many fold. ARPNA is planning to increase the number of SHGs and to establish a net work among them to address their issues collectively towards empowerment and voice out on violence against women, economic freedom and establish their rights. Therein SHGs will be mainstreamed with existing State and National Women movements. Our prime objective is to elevate poverty by economical empowerment and simultaneously we educate and empower community, socially and politically. It has been reflected in the last local body election. twenty SHG leaders had contested and have been elected in the local body
