All Manipur Mentally Handicapped Persons Welfare Organisation

The activities undertaken by the All Manipur Mentally handicapped Persons Welfare Organisation are as follows:- , 1.B.B. Paul Mental Development Home, a Special School for CP & MR. This special school is very popular in our State as it is run by the Parents body. At present the number of beneficiaries are 136. The parents of beneficiaries are satisfied with the services provided by the organization. , 2.Vocational Training Centre under the approval of Ministry. There are four trades :- , (i) Carpentry - 30 , (ii) Weaving - 30 , (iii) File, Envelope, Writing , Pad and Exercise Book Making -30 , (iv) Cane & Bamboo 30 , The Ministry provides the honorarium only for the 4(four) instructors but the orgaanisation self engaged assistant or helper for each trades. And it is also impossible to complete the training within the short span of 3(three) years for such limited I.Q. the organization want to approved and sanction for the four assistant and helper as well as to extend the duration of training. , And the achievement of the organization are:- , 1. A Mentally Retarded girl from our Institution got National Award in a Solo Dance Competition, held at Secunderabad and in the year 2001-2002. , 2. The organization self got National Award from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India in the year 2014. , 3. Monovikas Puraskar Award was also haned to this organization in 2014. , 4. In the field of Special Olympic, Bharat also some students from our organization got gold and silver award. , 5. In any competition of Yoga the beneficiaries of our Institution also got gold, silver and bronze.
