About the organization

Special features of the organization

All India Citizens Alliance for Progress & Development (AICAPD) - a Delhi based NGO - has been working towards the development of economically and socially underprivileged and backward people, especially children of field and construction labourers whose nomadic life deprives them of a consistent livelihood and permanent habitat. The children of these disadvantaged group lack basic education, live in utter poverty while their parents work as field or construction daily wage labourers. , , AICAPD has helped so far nearly 60 odd children grow and find their vocation, complete higher studies and a few have found good placement in reputed organizations. These children are from the neighbourhood - children of presswalas, drivers, mali, housemaids, sweepers and casual workers who find it difficult to afford normal schooling because of financial cosntraints and other pressing demands of their homes. AICAPD firmly believes that by providing systematic basic education up to class VIII and subsequently giving skill based vocational education to this section of the society can go a long way in helping them stand on their own feet and support themselves and their families. , , AICAPD s prime objective is to set up INNOVATION SCHOOLS which will target the children of the weaker sections of the society, initially in Delhi and NCR region, and subsequently by extending the program to other states as more volunteers join in the mission. , , The motto of these Innovation Schools is to provide good quality education to poor children who, for some reason or the other, have been denied admission to good schools. The children will be provided with books, stationery and other basic study materials to help develop and sustain their interest in studies. Once through class VIII, the focus will shift to giving them job oriented vocational training.
