Action for Welfare n Awakening in Rural Environmen

The major activities undertaken by the organization during the period 2008 are as follows- , RIAC Project- , The organization is presently covering a sub-division in Tamenglong district covering ward no. I-X, with an approximate population of 19662, having Male-9757 and Female-9905. Some of the finding by our organization of Tamenglong District in undergoing the RIAC project as a part of the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) under Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) as sponsored by National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) , which is under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India . , The specified target for undergoing the RIAC Project for IDUs are 300. , We could successfully conduct 30 Community meeting participated by 926 from all works of life mainly community leaders, 108 group discussion participated by 539 members, focus group discussion of 5 with 29 leaders of all section indulging in the project, a whooping 5653 one-to-one interaction , 30316 condom distribution , 27412 distribution of condom with average 66.25% return rate , 24 clients giving detoxification , 153 STI or STD cases and a large no. of 157 given referral cases. , PPTCT Project- , The said project is implemented by our organization in Tamenglong District as a part of the NACP under Global Fund for AIDS, TB & Malaria (GFATM Round-II) through Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) as sponsored by NACO , which is under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. , The main role of the project is to assist and recommend the pregnant women in the project area(s) towards HIV-AIDS testing in the VCCTC- PPTCT Centers of the district and help in providing the much needed nutritional support for the positive ones. The major achievement in undergoing the PPTCT project is 1000 pregnant women in Tamenglong District.
