Aakhyan was set up in 1999 and registered in 2002-2003. the organization is basically working on theatre. it is non profitable organization working on different issues through theatre. Aakhyan under takes extension workshops in rural areas, schools and collages to initiate theatre awareness among aspiring artists and art lovers under the able guidence secretary, Ravi Jhankal a graduate of national School of Drama. Aakhyan dreams the emergence of village theatre culture with immence energy rooted in Indian ethos and tradition depicting Indian realities. , Aakhyan has group of talented and trained artists in its repertory with rich experience in performing. it includes folk performers, dancers, artists, musicians, singers, tribal artists puppeteers and theatre trainers. they ensemble work of these talents creates the ambiance characteristic of the aakhyan productions. , The organization is conducting various types of the work shops including rare folk theatre. It is conducting Art in education programme , a non conventional education system and street theatre it as cause , bringing about a social and political awareness. , theatre relevance is very much keeping with traditional Indian folk forms like Gavri, Maach, Tamasha, Phad, Khyal and Kathputli that reached out to the people with the sense of purpose and devotion, besides entertaining them and touching upon issues of social significance. , Every year Aakhan is conducting thease workshops, research and Drama productions too.
