About Job Profile

Training and Teaching

The Training Coordinator will lead capacity building activities under the SLMC and ensure that participants and stakeholders attend effective sessions on subjects. Training Coordinator will facilitate effective coordination with government officials, partners, and other relevant stakeholders for conducting trainings. These include mapping and engaging of appropriate resource person as well as ensuring effective training aids and equipment for quality training.

The key role of Training Coordinator is to develop an inventory of trained participants by SLMC and partners and input progress in MIS system. Documentation of learning form trainings, exposure visits, campaign S/he is expected to document learnings and challenges also.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Develop and maintain annual SLMC training plans/annual calendar in coordination with SLMC partners.
  • Prepare an inventory of key resource persons and trainers in respect of trainings and map potential training centre for organizing grassroot trainings.
  • Manage all logistical support and coordination of SLMC training and workshops.
  • Coordinate with SLMC partners on planning, monitoring, and reporting on all SLMC project trainings and outcomes.
  • Assist with identifying and reserving venues, audio visuals, banners, sending invites, monitoring participants, developing training material in collaboration with the technical leads, printing name tags, tent cards, etc.
  • Communicate with potential participants on scheduling and events.
  • Develop and monitor attendee lists for events
  • Arrange logistics for events and trainings, including but not limited to, catering, printing of materials, audio visuals, distribution and collection of surveys and IT needs.
  • Develop tracking and knowledge management tools that capture and archive all SLMC project trainings (locations, participants, cost, training material, attendees list, surveys (pre and post), etc.
  • Coordinate with the SLMC Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist on training data collection and training impact.
  • Contribute towards SLMC reporting (Quarterly, Annual, etc.) on training activities.
  • Support MEL office on distributing and collecting pre and post SLMC surveys.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Experience working with international donor organizations such as USAID, World Bank, IFC, UN, etc.
  • Experience working with stakeholders, civil society organizations, community based organizations and marginalized groups.  
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet (preferably Excel), and presentation software (Microsoft).
  • Ability to work with a variety of persons and organizations having diverse issues, concerns, agendas.
  • Good interpersonal skills and time management
  • Able to handle multiple deadlines
  • Ability to travel within India.
