About Organisation

Mobile Creches works with the children in the birth – 12 years age group, living on the construction sites & slums of Delhi (NCR). Our experience on ground, strengthens our voice to advocate for policy change. Till date, we’ve reached out to 7,50,000 children, trained 6,500 women as childcare workers, run 650 daycare centres & partnered with 200 builders.

In the slums, we ensure childccare arrangements and health through community run creches and linkages with state services. We reach 14,000 children through these programmes every year.

Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneer NGO, has been operational since 1969, reaching childcare and health services to more than 15,000 children every year, through workplace and community-based crèches and daycare centres.

MC pioneered the cause of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and focuses on the young child under six years in urban slums and the migrant child, at construction sites. MC’s multi-pronged approach- working with construction workers’ children, urban slum communities training, and ECD partnership addresses both the short and long-term needs of children. It is officially recognized as a technical resource by the government and is on the path of scaling up with the government and other players in civil society.

As an organization, Mobile Creches adheres to a strict safeguarding policy. All staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, consultants, etc. are obliged to be aware of the conditions of this policy, be a signatory to this, and follow the norms.

Mobile Creches, (MC) signed an MoU with Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR), and the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) as a technical Partner to implement the Creche project in Karnataka. Govt of Karnataka establishing the creches for young children (6 Months to 6 Years) across all the 31 districts and Mobile Creches will train, and ensure quality implementation of the project along with the departments.
