Programme Management (35%)

• Lead operational roll-out of the programme in the state.
• Support field implementation partners in development of annual work-plans and budgets, context-specific strategies, aligned with the organization’s Education strategy and project management framework
• Review the programme periodically, including visiting the field regularly, to assess the fidelity of implementation, and quality and effectiveness of the programme
• Support partners and Government functionaries to ensure delivery against agreed milestones and targets, identify gaps in delivery, and take corrective measures to reduce implementation gaps.
• Share periodic programme updates and financial projections, along with data analysis, case studies and presentations for stakeholders.

Partnerships (30%)

• Lead dialogue with Government departments at the state and district level (WCD, Education etc.).
• Liaise actively with key agencies in the state Education ecosystem, ensuring high visibility of the programme, recognition as a key organization for Education. Identify potential for convergence and strategic partnerships to amplify programme impact.
• Facilitate joint reviews to build a collaborative environment for all stakeholders.
• Network with senior secondary schools, undergraduate and postgraduate institutes, NGOs, and overarching institutions (e.g. State Board, University etc.) for effective outreach of scholarship programme.

Programme strategy and design (25%)

• Provide inputs to technical leads and partners on key initiatives, particularly to address context-specific needs of stakeholders in the state
• Communicate field learnings, programme innovations and developments from Government departments and other organizations in the state to ensure programme stays relevant.
• Support pan-India programme development and planning

Other activities (10%)

• Work with M&E, Communications, Research teams to share insights and impact of state Education activities.
• Organize state level meetings of the Scholars (current and alumni)
• Plan and organize events, workshops and project visits for internal or external groups, as required
• Any other responsibilities, as per programme and organizational requirements, as assigned by line manager

• Experience of working with Government partners, preferably at the state level.
• Understanding of national and state policies and programmes related to Education
• Experience of designing and leading Education programmes at the state and district levels, particularly elementary education and/or ECCE and/or EdTech
• Good understanding of EdTech initiatives
• Proficiency in the principal language of the state where posted (spoken, reading), in English (including written)
• Excellent communication, analysis and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills, with leadership abilities
• Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for her/his projects.
• Ability to manage processes and activities in a resultoriented manner and work effectively to tight deadlines
• Demonstrates high levels of empathy, understanding challenges of stakeholders, listening actively and working in a participatory manner.
• Demonstrates creativity in her/his work, responding flexibly to a changing field situation and devising innovative ways of solving challenges.
• Any experience with scholarship programmes, teacher development and recognition etc.
• Experience of managing projects with multiple stakeholders, particularly Government and NGO partners
