Special Educator will be responsible for implementation of school health initiatives in schools which include health education and health intervention as per the objects of the Trust for the benefit of the underprivileged, destitute, victims of calamities and disasters, which include humanitarian relief & rehabilitation, provision of medical relief and aid during disaster, health care programs for strengthening services in education, health, and human welfare.

Special Educator will work with differently abled children. He/she will also be responsible for collection and compilation of data and reports. Candidate is also expected to help seniors in program planning and development through constructive feedback and inputs.

Primary Responsibilities include

Conduct health education and engagement activities for the student in designated schools
Support special health intervention in organizing health checkup camps in the respective schools. Coordinate with stakeholders for functioning of the camps
Mobilize and facilitate health events in school and within the adjacent community
Follow project protocols and objectives
Undertake survey in project areas as per the project requirement
Support formation and strengthening of WASH student cabinets
Undertake wash audit
Monthly reporting data of project activities in designated format
Co-ordinate with stakeholders (parents/teachers/HM) for conducting training sessions
Coordinate with other organizations and volunteers in the field as the need be
Any other task assigned by supervisor time to time

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Reasonably good in English speaking and writing
Passion to work with school children from the underprivileged community
Ability to exercise leadership skills
Should be a good team player
Confident and able to work on own initiative.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in support of and collaboratively with a range of people at all levels.
Communicates clearly and professionally
