About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

Provide expertise in India’s TB elimination program to inform the development and implementation of interventions towards improvement in the contracting landscape as well as health financing interventions for the HS4TB project to develop tools and enablers for effective contract solutions for involvement of all care providers and stakeholders in NTEP.

Ensure coordination, complete reporting and sharing of learning across all stakeholders under the leadership of Country Director/ Deputy Country Director and in collaboration with the Program Management Unit (PMU) at the Country level and the State HS4TB Teams.

Primary Responsibilities include

The primary accountability of the Senior Public Health Expert will be as follows:
• Serve as a resource person bringing expertise in India’s TB elimination program to inform development and implementation of health financing interventions for HS4TB project.
• Keep the national and state teams updated with changing healthcare scenario and its impact on the project activities.
• As part of a team of experts working under HS4TB, develop tools and enablers for effective health solutions as per agreed targets with the CTD and state TBC, contract solutions for involvement of all care providers and stakeholders in NTEP.
• Ensure coordination as required, reporting, and sharing of learnings across stakeholders under the leadership of Country Director/ Deputy Director.
• Ensure complete and timely reporting of project deliverables in collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team.
• Support other activities required for achieving the project objectives.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Country Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience of networking with senior government officials, bilateral and multilateral agencies, create linkages for HS4TB.
• Experience with imparting training, developing relevant modules, evaluations, and assessments.
• Expertise in operational research and publications is an added plus point
• Experience with health financing and innovation projects.

• Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in a combination of technical areas including TB diagnoses networks, laboratory quality assurance, information management systems, and Health Systems Strengthening in the India context.
• A dynamic leader, with proven credentials, able to meet project goals, convey learnings, lead stakeholder engagement, and be an active contributor to overall project success.
• Familiarity with USAID regulations and administrative procedures in the implementation of donor assisted projects.
• A passion for building teams, coaching, and building capacity both internally and externally.
