Fundraising and Partnerships

As a part of the Fund Raising, the job role requires philanthropic exchange connecting donors to non-profits by creating and implementing an organized and structured charity platform.United Way Delhi also operates the Monthly Giving platform, allowing users to donate funds to various causes seamlessly every month using multiple digital payment options.

As a part of the Fund-Raising team, you will be developing relationships with new and existing non-profits enabling them to raise funds by crafting fundraising opportunities and building capacities. For the campaign, you will be required to build rapport with non-profits, corporates, and key individuals, maintain a constant engagement, and help them deepen their philanthropic involvement. For Monthly Giving, the key metric for success would be acquiring new users and converting existing donors to pledge their funding on a more continuous basis.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Develop in-depth, end-to-end knowledge of the Monthly Giving platform and the philanthropy Structure of the campaign and constantly strive to improve it. It will include research on competing platforms both in India as well as internationally.
  • Build an understanding of digital marketing and develop strategies to boost new signups and engagement.
  • Understand how, when, and why crowdfunding works and develop strategies around the art and science of crowdfunding and then further share the information with nonprofits.
  • Manage the end-to-end individual fund cycle – raising, receiving, accounting, reconciling, disbursing, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent business relationship with the partnered non-profit’s staff, HNIs, and corporate point of contact by handholding and providing constant motivation to problem-solve any issues they may face in their campaign.
  • Contribute to all activities of the campaigns team, including working on new event collaborations.
  • Research, recommend and incorporate best practices to improve team efficiency.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Your interest in others and your desire to make connections must be authentic.
  • Have excellent listening skills and be highly empathetic. Your ability to connect with people and gain trust quickly is essential.
  • It would help if you were self-motivated and goal oriented. Taking the initiative and thinking out of the box is a required skill for the job.
  • Great command of MS Office and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Being of a curious mind is a bonus to the position.
