About Job Profile

Support and office management

Community Leaders Program (CLP) is an initiative of Samaaj 3.5%, Indus Action to anchor the journeys of individuals, who intend to work for the rights of disadvantaged communities. The program commenced in August 2022, with 5 Community Leaders, across UP, Delhi and Chhattisgarh working on Right to Education (12.1.c), Right to Livelihood, Menstrual and Reproductive Health and other welfare rights. Through this program, provide mentorship, micro-grants and capacity building training to grassroots leaders who intend to work for welfare rights of disadvantaged communities.

Our first cohort of 4 Community Leaders, is working in Delhi, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajnandgaon, Chhatisgrarh. You can  listen to the journeys of our leaders, here. The second cohort of Community Leaders was onboarded on 1st July 2023.

You will run the operations working closely with Community Leaders to monitor and support their project operations on ground, by providing operational strategy support, facilitating mentorship models driving monitoring and evaluation processes and partnerships for capacity building.

You should be willing to travel across the country (75%) and support the Community Leaders at their project sites. The nature of work will require field visits and first-line engagement with the leaders on the ground.

Primary Responsibilities include

In CLP Operations, you are expected lead a cohort of community leaders (11+)  towards unlocking their respective project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

Conduct weekly check-ins with the team.

Facilitate the planning and execution of sprints of the team.

Conduct in-person field visits to the project sites of the leaders round the year for monitoring and evaluation.

Drive the linkages between leaders with zonal teams.

Identify and forge partnerships for leaders with local not-for-profits and individuals.

Implement the L&D curriculum for leaders.

Drive mentorship through Individual Development Plan of leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

A foundational understanding of the welfare ecosystem.

Programme and Project Management with a focus on delivering end outcomes.

Community engagement (grassroots and government).

Equal comfort and proficiency in preparing PowerPoint presentations.

Long-form research & analytical papers.

Proficient in Hindi and English.
