About Job Profile

Under the project - Strengthening Oxygen Utilization and Respiratory Care Ecosystems (SOURCE) from Pandemic Response to Reliable Long-Term Access, we will be looking for the candidate for the below responsibilities and skills to work in the state of Bihar.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • The RCO will be required to undertake the following listed activities (indicative and not exhaustive):
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of state government and facility needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to the state for the operation and maintenance of medical oxygen generation plants/ equipment in the state.
  • Visit districts for monitoring project activities and provide technical assistance to districts for oxygen generation plant operations assessment, oxygen inventory assessment, and identifying training needs of the district functionaries.
  • Liaise and manages stakeholders at the state and district level involved in project activities.
  • Support state teams to facilitate capacity building and sensitization sessions for key stakeholders in the state on oxygen ecosystem – respiratory care management.
  • Undertake close coordination with the state team and project internal team for implementation of planned activities in the state.
  • Support Knowledge Management – data collection, analysis, report writing, project documentation and knowledge sharing with health staff and officials working at District and State Health Society Bihar.
  • Work with different stakeholders including the state government, healthcare facilities’ staff, other partners, vendors, OEMs, etc. in the state regularly, as assigned and expected for the activity.
  • Undertake need-based travel within the state and other geographies as per the need of the project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Substantiable experiences in working with the officials and staff of government departments preferably health and social welfare programs in the community. Robust understanding of government filing process, issuing letters, communications to districts in organizing trainings, /meetings/ workshops, visits etc.
  • Experiences in working with community-based organizations/ grass root NGOs in Bihar and government outreach cadre.
  • Significant experience in data collection and report writing preferably in Hindi.
  • Take initiatives in collaboration with the state team for PATH program in the state.
  • Undertake other program assignments given by supervisor and state representative, and national team. 
  • Use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Google Sheet and Forms, zoom meeting.
  • Language skills include Hindi and English
  • High level of integrity.
  • Sensitive to cultures and flexible to work with colleagues.
  • Available to travel at state and district levels as and when required.
